The case demonstrate the standard produce of financial diagnosis by studying annual financial statements of A Cement Co., a wholly-owned subsidiary of a Top 500. In this case we take the last three years’ financial statements of A Cement Co. as an example to conduct financial analysis and draw conclusions by using various methods, including comparative analysis, ratio analysis, and trend analysis. Through the study of A Cement Co, we show how financial diagnosis can help firms to circumvent management shortcomings, find out the management problems, provide the basis for firm growth, enhance risk control, and improve the efficiency and the competitiveness of firms in the market.
